All You Can Eat Spaghetti Fundraiser
to benefit the Little Sisters Jeanne Jugan Residence and St. Joseph's Villa Sunday, May 19th, 11:30 - 2:30 *more information*
St. Josaphat’s Council has the distinction of being the very first Ukrainian Catholic Council in the United States. We were chartered on the Feast Day of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, March 25, 1980, with 33 members. Our patron is the great Ukrainian martyr and apostle of Church unity between East and West — St. Josaphat. Since its inception, our Council has provided various types of support to the Shrine. In addition to financial contributions, knights help maintain the grounds, and act as ushers for Shrine functions. We also provide financial support to the adjacent St. Josaphat’s Seminary as well as other charitable causes both in the U.S. and Ukraine. For the 1988 Millennium of Ukrainian Christianity, knights of our Council were instrumental in having the Order-wide devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary be conducted under her title as the Mother of God of Pochaiv.
